Six Million Dollar Web Page Four: Helping the Homeless

Another group that could use some help can be seen on the streets in many American cities.  They are the homeless.  For just a moment, try to imagine what it may be like to be homeless in America.  Think about the number of people that were homeless immediately after Hurricane Katrina.  Through no fault of their own, they suddenly found themselves without homes and with very limited resources.  I hope that our advertising support can help us to fund groups that can help those in situations like that. 

I am going to ask you to close your eyes and use your imagination for a moment.  Imagine that for whatever reason, you find it impossible to maintain a steady job and earn enough to support yourself in an apartment, room, whatever.  There may be many reasons that a person becomes homeless.  For example, you could have some terrible tragedy befall you and your family that sends you into a depression that you just can not escape.  Can you imagine some tragedy that might wound you to your very soul?  Can you imagine not being able to pull the pieces back together and to continue moving forward as before? 

These types of tragedies have happened and will continue to happen.  Think about another scenario. You may get attacked from behind, robbed and develop amnesia from a head wound.  You wake to find you have no wallet or purse, no identification and can not remember who you are.  Even worse, you are out of town, so you are not surrounded by people that can identify you and help you recover your memory and resume life back as normal.  Imagine what life may be like when you have no money, no home, no identity, no memories or just no will to compete in the American job marketplace.

I don’t have the answer, but I do know that if I had tragedy befall me to the point that it became impossible for me to support myself, I would greatly appreciate any kindness and aid that would come my way.  This is a group greatly in need of assistance, and through advertising revenues, we hope to help as much as possible.  We will be looking for organizations to distribute money to that can be effective in helping the homeless.  Shelters and organizations that provide supplies to the homeless will be the first to receive assistance from the Six Million Dollar Web Page.
